Slope Electric Cooperative announces its 2024 Annual Meeting, set to be an evening of excitement and community spirit. Scheduled for June 6, the event will kick off with registration at 4:30 p.m. MT at the New England Public School in New England, North Dakota. The business meeting will be starting at 5:00 p.m.MT, with Bingo and a roast beef dinner served afterwards.

This year's Annual Meeting is designed with the whole family in mind, offering a variety of activities and attractions. 

More than just a gathering, the Annual Meeting holds significant importance for cooperative members. It's a chance to come together, exchange stories, gain insights from co-op leadership, and exercise the vital right to vote for board members who will represent their interests.

Board Director Candidates Announced

Following the Nominating Committee's meeting on February 29, the following individuals have been nominated for District 3 (Slope County):

- Scott Bachmeier, Rhame

- Ryan Jacobson, Rhame

- Cheryl Van Daele, Rhame

Outgoing directors whose tenure of office expires are Lauren Klewin and Dale Hande.

Slope Electric  emphasizes the importance of member involvement, and the Annual Meeting presents an invaluable opportunity for members to voice their opinions, contribute ideas, and play a role in the cooperative's democratic processes.

Scholarships Offered

Amidst the festivities of Slope Electric’s Annual Meeting on June 6, the cooperative is pleased to announce the availability of five scholarships to students within its service area. Three deserving full-time students will each be awarded a $1,000 scholarship, while two dedicated full- or part-time students will receive $500 each.

Who may qualify?

  • High school students enrolled in courses for college credits
  • Individuals enrolled in part-time classes, including online courses
  • Students attending classes full- or part-time in the fall


  • The eligible attendee must be a Slope Electric member or a dependent of a Slope Electric member.
  • Attendance at the Annual Meeting on June 6th is mandatory. In the case of a qualifying student being a dependent of a Slope Electric member, they must be accompanied by the member parent or guardian.
